Auro-3d ® Auro-3D is the next generation three-dimensional audio standard. It provides a realistic sound experience unlike anything before. By fully immersing the listener in a cocoon of life-like sound, Auro-3D creates the sensation of actually 'being there'. All three of the 3D immersive audio technologies (Atmos/DSU, DTS:X/DTS Neural:X, Auro 3D/AuroMatic) support a 5.1.2 or 7.1.2 setup using the 'Front Height' speaker setting with the speakers placed either high on the front wall or in/on the ceiling mounted above the FL/C/FR speakers; however, in order to place a 2nd set of height speakers (ie. The RX-A3050 additionally features YPAO 3D to optimise the 3D sound field. YPAO analyses room acoustics and performs speaker angle measurements, then calibrates audio parameters to achieve the best sound at any of several listening positions. The height of the presence speakers is also measured, in order to create the best possible 3D sound field.
